According to cops, on Aug. 21 at 7:25 a.m., Gregory D. Tripp, 36, approached the 32-year-old female victim at her Carmans Road home. While she stood in her doorway, police said Tripp yelled and then shoved her inside. After a few minutes, Tripp left the house.

The victim suffered minor scrapes. As Tripp left the scene, he allegedly punched both side view mirrors on her 1998 BMW and broke them. Later in the day, the victim reported the incident at the Second Precinct.

Tripp surrendered to police on Sunday at 11:45 p.m.

He's been charged with third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree menacing. His arraignment is scheduled for Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
