Delivery Man Robbed at Gunpoint

Driver returns to truck to find a stranger in the cab, armed with a revolver; robbery occurred early Tuesday morning in Hicksville.

A delivery man returned to his truck parked in Hicksville early Tuesday and found a stranger pointing a gun at him, Nassau County Police said.

The male victim, 36, was making a delivery about 4 a.m. at the rear of 160 W. Old Country Road at the time. When he returned to the truck, a man was seated in the cab of the truck. The victim approach and the suspect pointed a black revolver at him and order the driver to back away. 

The intruder grabbed the driver's cell phone and wallet containing personal papers and credit cards and fled eastbound on Old Country Road on a dark-colored mountain bike, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

The suspect is described as 25-30 year-old black man, about 6’0” tall and a thin build. He wore short black hair, a mustache, and was wearing blue jeans, sweatshirt and sneakers.
