Levittown Family Escapes House Fire

The Bayberry Street fire was limited to one room, fire officials said.

The occupants of a Bayberry lane home escaped harm when their home caught fire Sunday afternoon, according to Levittown Fire Department Chief Scott Fisher.

There were several people home, including a couple of small children, when the fire broke out around 4 p.m., but they were able to self evacuate.

“We were alerted for a house fire,” Fisher said. “When I pulled up, I observed heavy smoke.”

The blaze was contained to one room, Fisher added, and he said, “The matter is still under investigation.”

Amber Lane was shut down between Bayberry Lane and Chestnut Lane while officials investigated the incident.
