Levittown Gold Buyers Store Robbed Sunday

The incident occurred at 1:29 p.m. and money was stolen, police said.

Police are searching for a man who robbed the Gold Buyers of Levittown store on Sunday.

The man was armed with a black revolver and entered the business, located at 3259B Hempstead Tpke., around 1:30 p.m. He then demanded money from an employee at the store, police said.

The employee, a 57-year-old man, complied and the subject fled the scene on foot southeast toward Gardiners Avenue. No injuries were reported and proceeds were an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40 years old, 5’8” with a stocky build, short curly black hair, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, dark colored zippered sweat jacket, baggy sweat pants and black converse style sneakers with a white sole.
