An early morning fire at a vacant Levittown house on Gardiners Ave. was extinguished without incident Wednesday and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to Levittown Fire Chief Scott Fisher.
The fire started around 12:30 a.m. in one of the bedrooms on the first floor and it was extinguished in less than 10 minutes, without any injuries reported. There was no power or gas to the house and it has been vacant for more than a year, according to Fisher.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal's office is currently investigating the cause of the fire for possible arson.
