The Levittown Fire Department participated in the 2012 Nassau County Parade and Drill over the past weekend.
The recent election of the Port Washington Fire Department's Ex-Chief James A. Interdonati as new president of the Nassau County Firemen's Association made the host selection for this multi-day event noteworthy.
Drill teams comprised of men and women of the volunteer fire service from Nassau competed in two tournaments held at the Denton Ave Training Facility at Michael J. Tulley Park in New Hyde Park.

To the delight of crowds of spectators and firefighters a mega Block Party was set up in the parking lot of the Long Island Rail Road and flowed into the areas nearest the Flower Hill Hose Company #1 entrance which was open for viewing.
