Two Hempstead men were charged with attempted robbery Sunday after one allegedly assaulted a 7-Eleven clerk with a knife after being denied entry to the store.
According to Nassau County Police, at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, the 69-year-old male victim was outside the Park Avenue location shaking out the store's runner rug when he was approached by Shamar Parker, 25, who was armed with a knife, and Elijah Coleman, 23, who was armed with a bat.
After being denied entry into 7-Eleven, cops said Parker stabbed the victim under the chin and sliced his face with his knife. Both suspects were spotted fleeing northbound on Beech Street.
