Police Seek Suspects in Hicksville Assault and Robbery

Police are looking for a pair of men who they said robbed and assaulted a man in Hicksville on Friday night.

Police said a 38-year-old man was walking on Kiwanis Place in the vicinity of Saint James Place when he was approached from behind by two unknown male subjects. One subject then struck the victim in the head while the second subject pulled him to the ground, according to police.

The subjects began to kick the victim and an iPod was then stolen from the victim’s pocket. Both subjects fled the scene on foot towards the Hicksville Long Island Railroad Station, police said.

The victim responded to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police said there is no further description of the subjects.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
