RVC Woman Arrested for Levittown Burglary

Police said woman broke into home of elderly man.

A Rockville Centre woman was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly breaking into a Levittown home.

According to Nassau County detectives, around 1:50 a.m., Second Precinct police officers were called to a home on Flamingo Road for a burglary in progress.

Officers saw the defendant, 23-year-old Tarrah Gore, in a second floor bedroom after arriving at the scene, police said.

The officers knocked on the front door and were able to wake up the 84-year-old male homeowner. Police  entered the home as Gore was coming down the stairs, police said.

Gore was placed under arrest without incident.

She is being charged with burglary in the second degree and will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
