Two people were injured in a car accident Monday evening
after their vehicle overturned on Hempstead Tpke. and Southberry Lane.
The accident, which occurred at 5:47 p.m., sent one person
to Nassau University Medical Center, while the other refused medical assistance
at the scene.

Levittown firefighters used Heavy Rescue 624 to pull the car
away from a snow bank and firefighters pushed the car back onto its four tires.
Hempstead Tpke. eastbound was closed during the operation.
