First Annual Veterans Day Parade to Be Held in Levittown on Sunday

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency recently announced that the First Annual Veterans Day Parade will take place on Sunday, Nov.  from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The parade will begin at the old Kmart Building on the corner of Gardiners Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown and will proceed west to the Levittown Veterans Memorial Park located at the corner of Hempstead Turnpike and Shelter Lane.

“I encourage all residents to attend the First Annual Veterans Day Parade and show your support for the brave men and women who answered the call to serve our country and fought to protect our freedom,” Mangano said in a press release.

The First Annual Veterans Day Parade will include a convoy of military trucks and tanks, The American Legion County and post, VFW County and post, Korean War Veteran’s, Vietnam War Veterans, Catholic War Veterans, Jewish War Veterans, and many more.
