Abbey Lane Elementary School students recently participated in the Levittown School District’s “Get a Voice” character education program by reading books that encourage kindness and rebuke bullying behaviors.
During the day, many of the students wore red or pink to promote the message of being considerate to one another. In addition, students from each grade level chose a thematic book about kindness or bullying to read to students in the grade below them.
The fifth grade classes were particularly excited when Key Club students from the Gerald R. Claps Career and Technical Center visited the school to read books with positive messages.
