News and happenings from the performing arts department of the Island Trees School District.

The following are press releases provided to Patch by the Performing Arts department at Island Trees High School.

Island Trees Students "On Display" at All-County Exhibition

Mr. Peter Gibbons, Island Trees District Director of Fine & Performing Arts, is proud to announce a list of students chosen to have their art work displayed at the 8th Annual All-County Art Exhibition to be held at Adelphi University. The list can be viewed here.

High school student Cheryl Kim was the winner of the Art Supervisors Scholarship. Kim was previously honored with an Honorable Mention at the Eighth Annual Advanced Visions Art Show hosted by CW Post in January.

High School Talent Show

The auditorium at Island Trees High School was rocking once again as the talented high school students performed at the ITHS Annual Talent Show. The audience enjoyed performances by vocalists, dancers, rock bands and instrumentalists. Top prizes went to Bridget Vilbig for "Best in Show" and Alana Martini for "Most Talented."
