IT Superintendent Reminds Residents to Re-Register for STAR Tax Reduction

Island Trees Superintendent of Schools Charles Murphy is reminding residents to re-register for the STAR tax reduction program, as the state requires it this year.

"This is an approximate $700 rebate for the average New York State home," Murphy said.

Recently, New York State has announced that about 800,000 homeowners have failed to re-register for this program, Murphy said.
