Levittown Parents Invited to Apply for Universal Pre-K Program

Submitted by Elizabeth Sobel, Syntax.

Attention: Parents of 4-Year-Olds

Parents who have a child/children residing in the Levittown School District who will have attained the age of 4 years on or before Dec. 1, 2013 are invited to apply for admission of their child to the Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program during the 2013-14 school year.

This is a half-day program that will be housed at one of our UPK providers for 180 days, from September 2013 through June 2014, roughly coinciding with the Levittown School District calendar.

The program has limited space and participants will be chosen during a random lottery selection process. A waiting list will be established to fill any vacancies that may arise.

If you are interested, please go to our website at www.levittownschools.com, fill out the form located on our home page and return it to the address indicated no later than March 1, 2013.

The interest form below does not guarantee a place in the program. Those selected in the random lottery process will be notified by mail and must complete a district registration packet in order for placement to be finalized.

This program is fully funded by a New York State Department of Education grant. All placements in the program are fully contingent upon the continued reauthorization of the Universal Pre-Kindergarten grant.

If you have any questions, please contact Arlene Mege, Central Registration, at 516-520-8300, ext. 533.
