Levittown School Board to Discuss Energy Contract, Installation of Security Cameras

The Levittown Board of Education will meet on Wednesday night, 7:30 p.m. at Levittown Memorial Education Center at 150 Abbey Lane for a regular meeting.

Here's a look at some notable items on the agenda for the meeting:

  • MacArthur Winter Wind Ensemble performs at 7 p.m. in the school lobby.
  • Superintendent Dr. James Grossane will do a follow-up to prior public be heard questions and board questions.
  • Under "Action Items: New Business" the school district desires to embark upon capital improvements at each of the District’s facilities in connection with an energy performance project; "The Board of Education hereby shall forward an official copy of this Resolution to the New York State Education Department together with a copy of the correspondence from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation in connection with its request for approval of the project from the New York State Education Department."
  • Under "Action Items: New Business" the board is expected to approve a resolution on Technology Program Contracts with Nassau BOCES, "for the addition of  indoor and outdoor video cameras and related equipment which will be installed and connected to the existing networks within the School District's secondary schools and buildings and grounds buildings."
