The Levittown School District has cancelled after-school activities due to the impending snowstorm, the district announced on its website.
"Please note that due to inclement weather all after-school activities have been cancelled for today Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. However, the LAP program will remain open."
At the Pastoral Formation Institute, there will be no p.m. classes, and at the Teacher's Pets Child Care Centers, there will be an early release at 4 p.m.
A snowstorm is expected to slam the Long Island and New York area, with up to 14 inches of snow expected in some areas and arctic cold temperatures across the region.
