A number of Island Trees and Levittown spring sports teams have made it to the playoffs and are vying for a chance to win a championship.
Division and Island Trees baseball square off Monday in the second round of the class A playoffs - No. 10 ranked Division heads to No. 8 Island Trees for a 4:30 p.m. start. Island Trees is coming off of a tough 6-0 loss to Clarke, while Division is coming off of a 3-2 win over Floral Park on Saturday. The winner of this game will take on the winner of No. 12 Lynbrook and No. 7 Garden City.
In softball, No. 1 ranked Island Trees faces No. 9 Wantagh Monday at 4:30 p.m. Island Trees is coming off a 15-0 win over Lawrence on Saturday in the first round. Division was eliminated from the playoffs by New Hyde Park on Saturday.
The No. 8 Levittown girls lacrosse team heads to No. 9 Lynbrook Monday at 5 p.m. in the first round of the Class B playoffs, while the Division boys lacrosse team was eliminated by undefeated Garden City on Friday in the first round.
