Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Receiver of Taxes Don Clavin recently presented official Town of Hempstead certificates of recognition to recipients of the annual Bill Flanagan Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship recipients included: Amanda Blafford, Kaitlin Rottkamp, Christopher Dalton, Rachal Ann Lachow and Michelle Lee Bentivenga.
The awards ceremony was hosted by CSEA Local 880, a public service union representing the Town of Hempstead workforce, and it was held at the Merrick Golf Course.
