Levittown Students Head Back to School

School officially started on Thursday, Sept. 6.

As they disembarked from the familiar bright yellow buses, Levittown Public School students greeted their friends and teachers on Sept. 6, the official start of the 2012-2013 school year.

Toting backpacks filled with school supplies, the students were both excited and eager to start learning and quickly settled down to their classroom routines.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. James J. Grossane reported that the district’s opening was both smooth and productive and that everyone expressed excitement about returning to school.

“The teachers met their students with warm smiles and enthusiasm and instruction began immediately – always a sign of prepared administrators, teachers and support staff, as well as eager students,” Dr. Grossane stated. “On behalf of the district, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the school community and my best wishes for a productive academic year.”
