MacArthur Teachers Release 'What Does the Fox Say?' Parody

The video has garnered more than 20,000 views on YouTube in eight days.

The MacArthur High School staff just wants to know what the Fox says.

When Ylvis released the popular song "What Does the Fox Say?" on YouTube, the video received more than 219 million views.

The idea was to use the video as part of the October talent show, Mary Anne Sanchez, one of the video's stars and a teacher of social studies and psychology. The video has garnered north of 20,000 views as of Thursday.

"This started because staff members wanted to keep the lineup of entertainment running smoothly at a students' event," MacArthur Principal Kathleen Valentino told Newsday. “They volunteered their own time after school to film the spoof to bridge the gap.“

The video took 45 minutes to shoot on Oct. 17. After Vincent Causeman, a social studies teacher and the fox in the video, was inundated by requests for the video, he posted it to YouTube on Nov. 6.
