Video: Music Students Honor Levittown Superintendent

Dr. Herman Sirois and Division High School Valedictorian Karolina Ksiazek were recognized at the Levittown Memorial Education Center.

Prior to last week's Levittown Board of Education meeting, over 200 residents gathered in the Levittown Memorial Education Center auditorium to witness special performances from Lee Road Elementary, Wisdom Lane Middle School and MacArthur High School band and chorus students.

Following the musical presentation, Melissa Schachter, an All-State choir student from MacArthur High School, recognized and thanked Superintendent of Schools Dr. Herman Sirois on behalf of the Levittown community for his 25 years of service to the district.

Sirois, who will be resigning from from his position at the conclusion of the current school year, was given a standing ovation from the crowd on hand.

Later in the evening, Division Avenue High School Principal Francesco Ianni presented class of 2011 valedictorian Karolina Ksiazek with a plaque for her hard work.
