Wisdom Lane Students Raise $1,800 for Children's Hospital

Laura Koenig’s sixth-graders at Wisdom Lane Middle School in the Levittown School District have raised $1,800 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by participating in the hospital’s annual math-a-thon.

 For 25 years, Wisdom Lane students have been honing their math skills and soliciting sponsors to raise donations to help children with serious illnesses. To date, the school has raised approximately $117,000.

Wisdom Lane Middle School’s participation in the math-a-thon helps to provide the best possible medical care for patients, regardless of their ability to pay. 

In addition to raising funds for a good cause, the students learned about the importance of helping others. Ms. Koenig is proud of all the students who participated in this annual event and grateful for the support provided by the school staff.
