3 MacArthur Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

Story by Liz Sobel

The Levittown School District is pleased to announce that three MacArthur High School athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their sports at the collegiate level.

The senior-athletes were accompanied by their parents and coaches as they signed on the dotted line to receive scholarship monies and fulfill their goals to play on a college team. The district congratulates the following athletes on this important milestone in their athletic careers.

Senior infielder and pitcher Robert Andreoli is an All-Conference player. He played second base for MacArthur High School and posted a .346 batting average with a .429 on base percentage, adding seven doubles and three triples. He also scored 20 runs, with 14 runs batted in, and helped lead MacArthur High School to a league championship and the Nassau County finals. He will attend LIU Post.

Varsity pitcher Adam Heidenfelder was selected as a First Team All-State player. He is also the recipient of the coveted Nassau County Baseball Coaches Association Diamond Award as Nassau County’s top pitcher. He will attend Hofstra University in the fall.

Steven Schneider is a varsity wrestler who was designated twice as an All-County wrestler, was the 2013 Nassau County wrestling champion, and acquired the title of 2013 New York State.
