The Island Trees baseball team proudly announces the signing of senior Louis Mele to the New York Institute of Technology.

Mele has accepted a baseball scholarship to play for the Division I Bears next year and he plans to major in Occupational Therapy.

Follow Levittown Patch on Facebook.

For the past two seasons, Mele has started in the outfield and at third base for the “county finalist” Bulldogs. However, his major contributions have been at the plate.

For his talents, Louis has earned a place on the Nassau County all-league team at the conclusion of each of the last two seasons.

The Bulldogs will be looking for Louis to provide senior leadership and production for the 2013 season. Congratulations Louis!
