Island Trees Girls Volleyball, Soccer Players Honored at Awards Dinner

The Nassau County girls volleyball and soccer coaches association held their annual awards dinner on December 2, with several Levittown student athletes recognized for their accomplishments on and off the court. 

Individual recognitions were given out to the following student-athletes on the girls volleyball team: Shamar Sanchez (All-County), Lauren Ecock (All-Class), Sam Petry (All-Class), Morgan Petry ( All Tournament 2013 Playoffs) and Erica Faggione (Scholar Athlete).

The Island Trees girls soccer team was also well represented, with nine girls receiving awards. In addition, Coach Jaime Roche was honored with the conference “Coach of the Year Award".

Individual recognition was given to the following student-athletes: Alexa Dolgos (Conference Player of the Year, All-County and 6th team All-State), Brianna Wilson (All-County), Kristen Breihof (All-County), Ashley Jones (All-Conference), KellyAnn Jorgensen (All-Conference), Melissa Jorgensen (All-Conference), Katie Paz (All-Class), Megan Fischer (All-Class) and Gabriella Petito (Scholar Athlete).
