The Island Trees Little League 10U All Star baseball team recently beat Farmingdale in the 2nd Annual Sept. 11 Memorial Baseball Tournament Championship game, by the score of 9-5.
Trailing 5-1, the Bulldogs scored 7 runs in the 4th inning. Jackson Bonade started the rally with a triple to right and Mark Darcy had a big 2-run single in the inning.
The Bulldogs won with strong pitching by Kyle Sharkey and solid middle infield play by Richard Imbro and Cameron Provenzano.
Island Trees finished an extremely successful summer season with a tournament record of 6-0.
