A past sports victory was celebrated
as Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Councilman Gary Hudes presented a sign to Levittown’s MacArthur High School in commemoration
of the Lady Generals girls soccer team’s 2011 first-place victories in the
Nassau County, Long Island and New York State AA championships.
Members of the
team and coaches Lauren Gotta and Kerry Schaefer (front) joined members of the
district’s administration (back, from left): District Director of Physical
Education, Health and Athletics Keith Snyder, Board of Education Secretary
Kevin Regan, MacArthur High School Principal Kathleen Valentino and Board of
Education President Michael Pappas.
