It's time to make a splash. Levittown pools are the place to be this summer, having been recently voted as the best staycation spot in Levittown.
The pools opened on June 16. and will be open until Labor Day. We've got nine pools total, so the choices are plenty. Whether you plan on going to Acorn Lane, East Village Green, Wolcott Road, Blue Grass Lane, Azalea Road, Slate Lane, Carman Ave. Pool, West Village Green Pool, or Levittown Parkway Pool, here is some important info. you need to know:
Hours of Operation: From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. except the East Village Green pool on Jerusalem Ave. and Meridian Rd., which is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Who's Eligible: Residents who pay a special Levittown Park District tax are eligible to get passes to the Levittown Pools. These are owners of original Levitt properties (some are in Westbury, Levittown, Wantagh, etc.)
It is not determined by school district. If someone has a question they can check their tax bill or call Levittown Hall at 933-6400 (they have a complete listing of homes included in district).
What You Need: In order to obtain a pass, if you are part of the special park district, you must show a current (no more than 3-months old) utility bill and driver's license with matching address, according to the Town of Hempstead Office of Communications & Public Affairs.
Residents can get their pool passes from June 1 to Labor Day, seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Levittown Hall, located at 201 Levittown Parkway in Hicksville.
Activities: These include swim lessons at all the pools and a recreation program at Azalea A private organization known as LSA (Levittown Swimming Association), runs competitive swim teams out of all the pools.
