FUN FOR ALL AT 16th ANNUAL LAZY DAYS PICNIC

The Levittown Community Council’s 16th annual Lazy Days of Summer picnic provided entertainment for all ages. Soaring temperatures didn’t deter children, teens and parents from enjoying the fun-filled free event. More than 350 people attended.

Deejay Tim Aldridge provided tug o’ war, hula hoop, sack races, karaoke and a variety of other games throughout the five-hour event. Levittown Kiwanis provided face painting and temporary tattoos. Through the generous donations and contributions of local businesses, and the support of volunteers, the Council provides a variety of activities including a basketball competition, fishing pond, digging for “gold” in pirate’s treasure chest, bubble blowing, sand art, a bounce house, pony rides and a petting zoo. Also, participating was the Levittown Historical Society with a candy jar guessing game,  New York Life, which provided ident-a-kit services. And Wantagh-Levittown Ambulance Corp. with their emergency vehicle on exhibit doing blood pressure screenings.
