Submitted by Louise Cassano.

The Levittown Community Council’s board of directors was sworn in recently by Town of Hempstead Councilman Gary Hudes.

New to the board is Mary Kay Ross, who takes on the position of corresponding secretary, replacing board member Pat Patane, who moves into the second vice-president’s position.

President Bob Koenig was re-elected and sworn in along with Tom Kohlman as 1st vice president, Louise Cassano as recording secretary, Ginny Isola as treasurer and Mauro Cassano as membership chairperson. Community Liaison Frank McKenna was unable to attend the installation. The board serves through Oct. 31, 2013.

Leaving the board are Steve Dalton and Lowell Wolf, who were recognized with a citation by the Town of Hempstead for their past services.
