Kids Helping Kids 'Making a Warmth of Difference' Event a Success

Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray was recently on hand to show her support at the Kids Helping Kids Way Inc. the 2012 “Making a Warmth of Difference” winter apparel program Press Conference event at the Oheka Castle in Huntington.

Since 1997, Kids Helping Kids encourages philanthropy in young people under the age of 18. They have raised over $1,500,000 in a combination of financial donations and donations of products for kids in need while helping improve their quality of life. 

The program focuses on distributing new winter apparel to keep children and their families warm for the upcoming cold winter months. Kids Helping Kids works with several Long Island Agencies including the not-for-profit Education and Assistance Corporation (EAC) based in Hempstead.
