Levittown Play to Raise Money for Veteran Service Dog

A $15 donation will be used for the purchase of a service dog for a veteran.

The Levittown Lions Club is sponsoring the professional theatrical production of "I Ought To Be In Pictures," to be held at Division Ave. High School on Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 pm.

Admission is a $15 donation to the Levittown Lions Club, and all donations will be used for the purchase of a $6,000 service dog for a veteran.

The club has been working with Smithtown Guide Dog Foundation for the past 25 years. Donations go towards the VetDogs program, which teams disabled veterans and service members with specially trained assistance dogs.

"I Ought to Be in Pictures" is a comedy-drama play originally created by Neil Simon. The play is a warm and funny show about Herb, a Hollywood scriptwriter, and his teenage daughter from Brooklyn with dreams of movie stardom.

For tickets, call Les Rumel at 516-731-8041 or Tom Di Iorio at 516-242-2273.
