NY Islanders to Visit Levittown Schools; Thanksgiving and Black Friday in Levittown

  • New York Islanders players are visiting several Long Island Schools Monday to discuss the importance of education. At 9:30 a.m., the Islanders will visit Island Trees Middle School (players Michael Grabner and Thomas Hickey will visit) as well as Abbey Lane Elementary (players Peter Regin and Brian Strait).

  • Levittown students have no school on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving recess.

  • Black Friday is on Nov. 29. There are a number of local and regional businesses offering promotions this season, so check back with Patch this week for a look at the best deals in the area.

  • The Christian Science Church in Levittown is holding a Thanksgiving Day Service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

  • St. Bernard’s Church in Levittown is holding a Craft Fair Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.”Over 60 vendors of great variety!  Also, come visit our "Rootbeer Garden" and enjoy strolling carolers!"

    • Salon April Marie of Levittown is holding their 1st annual Leg Lamp Lighting on Saturday at 7 p.m. “Enjoy Santa Claus , Hot Cocoa & Holiday Caroling starting at 7:00 pm . Leg Lamp Lighting at 8:00 pm. We will also be accepting non-perishable food items for our local food pantries.” 
    • Hurricane Grill and Wings in Levittown holds a Karaoke Night on Saturday, Nov. 30  from 9:00PM to 1:00 AM  “Join us for great food, drinks and lots of fun!”
