Paul, very interesting link. The ARC has a CEO who makes over a $500,000 per year. I wonder how many…Read More people know that. Among other similar charities, ARC was ranked last. I knew there were better places to send your money. Tunnerltotowers.org.
Ken Toller, your comment was so good, it is gone. bwa, hahahah.

Yes, I'm that guy! Many people on Harvest Lane is stopping me about this article and my seminar…Read More appearance at the Levittown Library recently. Or they read about me in a local town newspaper as the former White House Christmas or State Dinner Decorator, or their friend was in the audience in one of my seminars at a senior center or library. Yes I'm that guy with the army cap and jacket carrying the backpack over me. ( I am a real Veteran from the U.S. Army, and serve during the Viet Nam era ) Yes, I'm that guy at Planet Fitness working out every night! No vehicle??, right, don't need one, taxi is the way to go! Hate Cars on the road, too stressful. The seminars pay me well, so I can afford it. Walking is the best way to get around, and there's nothing wrong with a bus or train. Less stress. Don't like to drive with all these crazy drivers around, they speed around the island and rush their lives away. Yes, I'm that guy, the Minister at St. Bernard's on Sunday at the 12 noon Mass with that Italian suit on. So next time you see me, please stop me and say "Hello Frankie". I'm a cool friendly guy, and yes, I might have a free White House booklet for you that I can autograph. I always carry them around most of the time. See ya around town!

I agree 100% with Marie. Kris Ekberg is always giving of her time and energy, and I was in awe of…Read More the way she brought our school and neighborhood community together to provide our kids with a safe and fun experience while we were all reeling from the effects of Sandy.

I vote for Kristine Ekberg. Not only was I in attendance at the "trunk and treat", I know…Read More that she is tireless in her dedication to others. Kris is constantly volunteering at Northside School, she volunteers for Meal-on-Wheels, delivering food to seniors in need and extends herself to anyone who needs her help! She is a role model for our children and a wonderful person in our community!

Sorry I work in retail as a cashier & I always say have a nice holiday unless I know for sure…Read More what the person celebrates. It really bugs me when people say Merry Christmas, I'm Jewish. I know it's a pet peeve that I have but it has happened to me all my life. I just feel that it's rude; not everyone is Christian & celebrates Christmas. The ironic thing is I was brought up celebrating Christmas (my father wasn't all Jewish). I married a Catholic & my children were brought up celebrating Christmas! I just think people should think before they speak. Happy Holidays to all!!!

With all regards to all other faiths, I wish you a Merry Christmas. It's about faith, hope,…Read More charity, and love. I don't go holiday shopping, I go Christmas shopping. I don't put up a holiday tree, I put up Christmas trees. I am not trampling on anyone's holiday, and no one needs to excuse themselves for mentioning Christmas. And a happy New Year to you all, even if your New Year doesn't start soon!

There is nothing "wrong" with any of these terms...we just want to be able to regognize…Read More and celebrate the Christmas season along with all the other faiths that celebrate their holidays this time of year! A Christmas tree is a always going to be a Christmas tree not a Holiday tree just as the Menorah will always be a Menorah and not a Holiday Candle...We respect the faiths and customs of others to celebrate their Holy days and we just expect the same in return...So...Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Kwanza and all that Good Stuff!! There is more than enough room for all to NOT try to suppress anyone's good cheer! And if you are a non believer of any faith...I guess we will see you at work on Christmas!?
