Karopczyc's family home is located just a few blocks from the school, which shares a building with the Island Trees Public Library and the Island Trees School District Administration Offices. The Kaopczyc School and its neighboring Gallow Elementary School are both rented to BOCES as an early childhood educational center. They offer special education and hearing services for pre-school children.
