Cops: Levittown Man Stabbed Victim in Head

An argument escalated to Nicholas Vairo using a knife, police said.

A Levittown man was arrested Friday after an argument led to him allegedly stabbing a 20-year-old male in the head, cops said.

According to police, the argument took place at 12:53 a.m. in front of Nicholas Vairo's, 20, home on Wantagh Avenue. Vairo allegedly displayed a knife and stabbed the victim in the left temple.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while Vairo was arrested without incident near his home, cops added.

Vairo's charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
