Nassau County Police said they have arrested a Levittown woman in connection with a knifepoint ATM robbery that occurred on Sunday, April 21.
Lauren Seewagen, 22, of Levittown, is being charged with first degree robbery and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.
The victim was withdrawing money from the ATM at Citibank, located at 3375 Hempstead Turnpike, when Seewagen allegedly threatened the victim with a knife and demanded money. Police said a struggle ensued and she stole $200 from the victim and fled the scene southbound in an alleyway towards Hempstead Tpke.
Seewagen was arrested at her residence on Tuesday. She will be arraigned on Wednesday, May 22 in First District Court, Hempstead.
