The Monday morning fire has been deemed suspicious by the Levittown Fire Department.

Firefighters and Nassau County Police responded to a 911 call for smoke coming from a bedroom of a Cooper Lane home at 8:35 a.m. Units found smoke showing upon their arrival and a fire in the second story bedroom.

Firefighters then stretched one hose line to the second floor and extinguished the fire that was contained to the bedroom.
