Police Investigating Armed Citibank Robbery

The incident occurred Sunday night at 7 p.m. in Levittown.

Nassau County Police are looking for a woman who they said robbed a victim at knifepoint at a Levittown ATM.  

On Sunday at 7 p.m., detectives said that a 55-year-old male victim was withdrawing money at Citibank, located 3375 Hempstead Tpke., when he was approached by a female subject armed with a knife who threatened to stab him if he didn’t hand over his cash.    

The victim complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money. The subject then demanded the victim remove more money, police said. 

The victim was able to grab her arm that was holding the knife and threw her to the ground.  The subject fled the scene with the proceeds on foot northbound through an alleyway toward Hempstead Tpke., according to police.  

No injuries were reported.  

The subject is described as a female Hispanic, 20 to 25 years of age, 5’2” tall, 120 to 125 lbs., brown hair and wearing a black hooded jacket with a white number on the back. No further description is available at this time.
