Police Searching for Man Who Attempted to Rob China Wok

The incident occurred Thursday night at 10:19 p.m.

Nassau County Police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at China Wok in Levittown on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 10:19 p.m.

Police said a 39-year-old cashier was working at the restaurant, located at 136 Gardiners Avenue, when a male white entered the store and purchased a soda. The man then exited the store only to return a minute later with a bag in his hand and demanded money from the victim, according to police. 

The suspect then walked behind the counter toward the cash register when a second employee appeared from the back of the store. The suspect then fled the scene on foot eastbound on Gardiners Avenue. There were no reported injuries or proceeds, according to police.

The suspect is described by police as approximately 18 years of age, 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing a white shirt and a multi colored bandana.
