Levittown School Board Candidate Profile: Peggy Marenghi

Marenghi was first elected to the board in 2010.

Seeking re-election to her second three-year term on the Levittown board of education is incumbent Peggy Marenghi.  

Marenghi, incumbent James Moran and newcomer Peter Zirogiannis are running for two available seats on the board of trustees.

“It is with great enthusiasm that I am running for the Board of Education for a second term,” Marenghi said. “I am making this commitment once again due to the many new updates and mandates that face the educational system today.”

Marenghi has been in the field of education for the past 30 years as an aide, lunch monitor, teacher, Assistant Principal, and presently as a Principal.  

“It is because of my varied experiences, I know I am well versed in the problems facing education today,” Marenghi said. “I am a life-long learner keeping myself abreast of all the issues facing district’s today.”

The budget vote and trustee elections for Levittown will take place on Tuesday, May 21.  

“If I am re-elected, I will continue to focus on being fiscally responsible to the community while still providing excellent programs for our students,” she said. “I look forward to serving the Levittown Community for another three years.”
